AvtoVAZ promises not to raise prices for basic car models
MOSCOW, Aug 10 (PRIME) -- Russian car producer AvtoVAZ will not raise prices for the most basic and localized models but may boost them for more expensive cars, a spokesperson told PRIME on Thursday.
"AvtoVAZ has no plans to raise prices for the most localized, basic and affordable models of its cars," the representative said.
The price for the basic Lada Granta car versions will remain below 700,000 rubles, the spokesperson added.
Telegram channel Mash reported earlier that AvtoVAZ would raise the prices for the entire model range from August 20, and that the dealer centers had deficit of some Lada car models because of a lack of components to manufacture them.
